Headstand (Sirsasana) is often called the ‘king of yoga poses’ – not because it looks fancy (although, let’s face it, it kinda does!), but because it teaches us focus, strength, body awareness, and trust – in yourself and the process.
For some, the idea of being upside down feels exciting. For others… slightly terrifying. “What if I fall? What if I’m not strong enough? No way, I can ever do this!”. Our answer is: “but what if you fly?”
In this 2h workshop with Anne, we’ll unpack the mechanics and mindset behind the pose, breaking it down step by step. You’ll learn how to work towards the pose safely and confidently – with drills, tricks and tips to help you find stability, and cultivate playfulness in the process.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how to build the foundations for a safe, solid headstand
- Practice prep drills and strength-building exercises to support your inversion journey
- Understand the benefits of the pose and why it’s worth learning it
- Learn how to practice and fall safely so fear doesn't block your progress
- Work through variations and progressions depending on your experience and comfort level
Whether you’ve never tried a headstand or are looking to refine the pose or overcome fear, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to grow! Come as you are, ready to learn, play, and maybe even surprise yourself.
The workshop will be in English.
Open to all levels of yoga – not recommended in case of pregnancy, high blood pressure condition or serious neck injuries.
