Step away from the demands of daily life - whether it's exam revisions, research deadlines or a packed schedule - and immerse yourself in a day of mindfulness, movement and connection in the stunning Alpstein mountains.

This day offers a unique opportunity to recharge in nature, combining hiking with meditation and mindfulness practices designed to help you cultivate presence, gain clarity and restore balance.

Join Anne, yoga and meditation teacher, for a slow and mindful hike to the serene Seealpsee lake, where we will engage in guided mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathwork. You will have the chance to enjoy a picnic by the lake, and for those feeling adventurous, an invigorating swim in the fresh mountain waters!

This is an accessible hike, open to all levels of fitness. The route isn't technical, and we will take our time, allowing space to connect - to yourself, to nature and to others.

What to expect:

  • Guided mindful hike: Move with awareness and presence, soaking in the beauty of the Alpstein
  • Meditation & breathwork: Ground and recharge with simple yet powerful practices through the day
  • Picnic at Sealpsee: Enjoy a break by the lake with time to rest and reflect
  • Optional swim: Take a refreshing dip in the mountain lake (if you?re up for it!).
  • Time to connect: Engage in meaningful conversations in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
  • The day will be filled with group exchange, open conversations and interactive exercises

Meeting Point & Access:
Meeting in Wasserauen next to Alpenrose restaurant at 09h.
The event will end around 16h in Wasserauen.
By car: 30-minute drive from St.Gallen (parking available in Wasserauen)
By train: train to Wasserauen station, arriving at 08:43 (07:52 leaving in St.Gallen)

Prerequisites
Hike of one hour up the mountain, approx. 300 metres in altitude.

Costs
CHF 30 for students
CHF 35 for for employees and alumni

Unisport has a payment deadline of 48 hours from booking. Registrations are binding. Unisport reserves the right to cancel participants from courses if payment is not made on time, and cancellation fees may apply.

What to Bring:

  • Hiking shoes or sturdy trainer
  • Comfortable, light clothing (we recommend bringing a spare top)
  • Hat & sunscreen
  • Yoga mat or large towel to sit or lay down on the ground
  • Picnic & plenty of water
  • Notebook & pen
  • Optional: Bathing suit (if you?d like to swim!)
